Our Story and Journey

The State Rehabilitation Board was established under the Edict Notice 13 of 1999 of Benue State Government by His Excellency, Dr. George Akume, and former Governor of Benue State on the 18th day of June 2001. It is located at Km 13 Apir Makurdi Aliade Road Makurdi Benue State. This came to actualize the dream of United Nations Declaration Act 1992, subsection 4 into practice, which calls for International Communities and the Federal Government elect for setting up Boards and Department for Rehabilitation of the special people amongst member countries.

Most programs are free of charge, as they are fully funded or subsidized by the Benue State Government. However, certain specialized programs may attract minimal administrative fees.
